Located 28 kilometres west of the Dunedin CBD, at the edge of the Taieri Plains, this spectacular rural setting is rich in history.

The  Outram Hotel has been a "local watering hole" since the gold mining days of the 1870s when it was ideally situated as a junction between the gold coach tracks into Central Otago, the train line and Taieri River plains.

Now it is just minutes from Dunedin Airport and the first pub on SH87 heading along a far less dusty road to Central and the popular Otago Rail Trail for cyclists.

The popular Outram Glen and views from the historic park over the Taieri Plains offer quiet respite from travel and Outram Hotel offers sustenance and simple, convenient overnight accommodation.

There's tasty 'pub grub" in the public and garden bar or a quieter lounge bar and dining room which is also suitable for business seminars and meetings.  A guest lounge upstairs is a convenient location for smaller business groups.
